Which Wisconsin city do you belong to? |
| Wisconsin is located in north-central United States and so is considered a part of the Midwest. Other states which lie along the borders of Wisconsin include Minnesota, Illinois, Lack Michigan, Lake Superior and Iowa. This state also known as "America's Dairyland," gains its actual name from the Wisconsin River which was named by Algonquian speaking American Indian groups. The name morphed from Meskousing to Ouisconsin and then was later anglicized to its present form. The economy thrives mostly on farming, lumbering and mining and is quite a stable one as compared to many of its counterparts. Wisconsin also has a variety of country music festivals which are thought to be more than any other state. Some of the top festivals which people flock into participate in include the Bud Light Presents Country Jam USA, Porterfield Country Music Festival, Coors Hodag Country Festival, Ford Presents Country USA and plenty more. Milwaukee, the largest city, also hosts the Summerfest which is also known as the "World's Largest Music Festival."^"252150.00 |
