Wilmington is served by four school districts which consists of elementary, middle and high schools as well Charter schools and Cab Calloway School of the Arts which was founded as a magnet school. Student teacher ratio is 16:1 at Wilmington which spends $8,178 per student each year. The top rated schools based on a ten scale include Cab Calloway School of the Arts (10/10), Linden Hill Elementary School (10/10), Brandywine Springs Elementary School (9/10), Odyssey Charter School (9/10) and Springer Middle School (9/10).
