An Interview with Dr.Kirk Moore on Breast Augmentation

Dr.Kirk Moore is a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Here the Doctor has answered some of the common questions Bizymoms visitors have about Breast Augmentation.

Q. What is breast augmentation?

Breast augmentation is a means by which women can achieve their financial, emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being.

Q. How is a breast augmentation surgery performed?

In my hands, it is a procedure done in less than an hour, under general anesthesia, with minimal recovery. Most of my clietns drive themselves to their f/u appt the next day. They are showering and washing their own hair within 2 hours of their surgery! And going out to eat that same evening.

Q. Who is a good candidate for breast augmentation?

Almost any woman that is unsatisfied with the shape, size or asymmetry of their breasts.

Q. What type of anesthetic is used for breast augmentation surgery?

I use a light general anesthetic that leaves them with ZERO hangover. No narcotics, no gases, and no nausea and vomiting.

Q. What are the risks associated with breast augmentation?

Bleeding, infections, asymmetry, capsular contracture. There are certainly risks of death, stroke, heart attacks, etc, but you are more likely to win the lottery than to have any of those complications.

Q. What is the recovery time for breast augmentation?

In my hands the recovery is less than 2 days!

Q. How much does breast augmentation cost?

Cost is about $4500 for saline implants and $5700 for silicone.
