Waldbaum’s chain of supermarkets was established in 1904 as a small shop in Brooklyn, and has currently grown to include a large number of stores on Long Island and the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. Waldbaum’s has positioned itself as a full service traditional grocery store and maintains various models of stores at different locations. All stores include departments for meat, produce and delicatessen. 63 stores include a bakery and 36 stores include a pharmacy as well. The chain is now a part of the A&P chain, and offers in-house brand items such as America’s Choice, Master Choice, Savings Plus, Hartford Reserve, and Health Pride.
