Sears Roebuck and Co. is one of the legendary American chain of department stores that was established in the late 19th century, and still continues to be in business. Sears merged with Kmart in 2005 to form a new company called Sears Holding Corp. The company began as a mail order house and grew to become the country’s biggest retailer in the mid 20th century.

The Sears Department Stores are middle ranged stores located usually in malls, carrying a vast range of products such as apparels, jewelry, home appliances, hardware, lawn and garden equipment, sports goods, auto repair supplies, office products, consumer electronics and school items. There are about one thousand full-sized Sears stores in the U.S.
