Cheap Mexican Holidays

Mexico is the northernmost and the third largest country in Latin America. It is situated in the southwestern part of mainland North America and is more or less triangular in shape. It is a beautiful country with exotic beaches, ancient ruins, colonial sites along with its unique and great Mexican foods and culture.

Mexico has almost everything for a fantastic cheap holiday and this includes visiting Merida, Cancún, Oaxaca, Ixtapa and Morelia city. Visiting these five cities will take about 2-3 weeks, if you are going to enjoy everything in the program and you are assured to experience Mexico at its best.

Starting with Merida, the capital of Yucatan State, it is one of the most beautiful and cleanest cities in the country and the city’s buildings made of white stone adds even more light to it. Those who visit Merida will never forget to take a horse carriage ride around the city.

Then it is the city of Cancún in southeastern Mexico, which has abundant white sand beaches, palm groves and coral reefs. It is the perfect place for snorkeling and relaxing during the day as you soak up the sun. Xel-Ha theme park in Cancún is a must visit arena since it provides a wide variety of activities filled with fun and adventure to every member of your family.

After Cancún, it is Oaxaca City that is worth visiting. It is noted for its 16th century art and architecture, for the nearby Mixtec ruins of Mitla and the Zapotec ruins of Monte Alban. The city is a great place to shop and you’ll be amazed to see its colorful handicrafts (especially local hand-woven textiles) that are offered for sale.

The next stop is at Ixtapa and this area is filled with wonderful beaches and provides for golfing. The city has amazingly luxurious restaurants that serve delectable cuisine. After your day at the beach, you could enjoy a thriving nightlife, preferred by most of the tourists.

Finally, it’s time to visit Morelia, capital of Michoacán State, west central Mexico. The city is home for some amazing cathedrals, museums and aqueducts. Patzcuaro is one place to see heritage, and the Baroque Cathedral is a fine example of Spanish Renaissance Church Architecture.

The city has plenty of bars and discos, which keeps you occupied all night. One should not miss the all-time favorite and famous festivals such as the Festivity of the Virgin and the Night of the Dead. The city also features some great hotels that would be just as exciting as your visit.

Visiting these five cities would not cost you much and there’s no doubt that you will enjoy every little bit of your journey to Mexico.
