Europe is one rare continent on earth that has tried to preserve its timeless glory, its priceless heritage, and its incredible history, culture, arts and architecture.
Europe has so much to offer, that it becomes a Herculean task for the traveler to decide on the “perfect” itinerary. The traveler to Europe will never be able to decide with certainty which destinations to include and which ones to skip.
Nevertheless, let us make an attempt to list some of the topmost destinations in Europe, even though such a list can never be exhaustive:

ROME: The amazing capital of an amazing country called Italy, Rome is one of the most popular destinations in Europe. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a famed monument in Rome, which is also included among the seven great wonders of the world. Rome is culturally enriched with innumerable ancient churches and historical monuments. The ancient Roman Colosseum is a great attraction for the visitors to Rome.
VENICE: Another wonderful city in Italy, it is famously known as the “City of Canals” because it has so many of them to offer. The most fascinating part is that transportation in Venice is still maintained like ancient times – either by water or on foot. It is the world’s most well-known “car-free” area.
AMSTERDAM: The capital city of Holland, it is a city of breathtaking scenic beauty. It is famous for its tourist spots such as the Central Station, as well its beautiful gardens with rows of flowers in spring.
BARCELONA: A delightful city in Spain, Barcelona provides a rare experience for the traveler to walk through the ancient ruins of a medieval city still intact in its pristine glory, and then enter into a highly modern city with wide roads and steep, hilly streets.
LISBON: The capital of Portugal, Lisbon offers an unbelievable experience of a lovely countryside, and beautiful beaches all along its coastline. The world-famous bridge of Vasco da Gama is a stunning 12 km long structure that is marvel of construction.
ATHENS: One of the oldest cities in the world, the cradle of European civilization, and practically, the throne of western thought and philosophy, Athens is the capital of a historic country, Greece.
