The end goal of your college life is graduation. An impressive transcript is very important but while you scramble to meet this goal don't loose sight of the larger picture. Although academics are the most important part of college it is important to devote some time to other aspects of campus life. After all' you don't want to look back on your college days and only remember being buried in books. What happens outside the class room will serve you well in life too.
Success in campus begins with the major you choose to follow. This affects not only your campus life but also your career so make sure you think it through before you take a decision. Pick a major that suits you' not your parents or friends. Be sure that you are truly happy with your decision.
Allow yourself the opportunity to explore all that campus has to offer' inside and outside the class room. Some students arrive at college knowing exactly what they want to major in and others may be still on the wall about it. But no matter where you stand with this decision you can still explore academic options. Consider picking a subject you have never attempted before or pursue an interest that doesn't relate to your major. This will include variety in your studies and keep boredom at bay.
