Let your hair speak for itself - tips for healthy hair

You are gliding through a garden of flowers…and you jump as you walk. With each jump, your hair jumps along with you, it’s so beautiful, so silky, so smooth…. “Oh! Hold on, that was just a dream.” Ladies, the time has come for you to make your “dream hair” a reality with these easy tips for healthy hair

1. Grab some lemon grass and clip off the tips. Cut into tiny pieces and let them swim in some coconut oil for half a day. Stash away this oil with lemon grass in a glass bottle and let it sun bathe in some sunlight for about a week. Filter away the grass, and apply onto your scalp and massage slowly.

2. Look for a white hibiscus flower and pick a few petals and add them to coconut oil. Heat the mixture till it boils and store after it has cooled down. You can also leave it to soak some sunrays in a glass bottle for about a week. Filter and use it on your hair on a regular basis.

3. Crush 8 grains of black pepper and heat it along with a cup of coconut oil and 10 leaves of tulasi (oscimum). Boil the mixture and then let it simmer for 5 minutes and cool it before storing. This oil will help condition your hair and make it as fit as a fiddle. But not so stiff…so don’t worry!

4. Add a cup of buttermilk (liquidized yoghurt) to a cup of ground curry leaves (murraiyya koieniji) and apply onto your hair and scalp. Wash away with warm water after 20 minutes. This will keep all the early gray hairs at bay.

5. Boil a cup of celery leaves, strain the solution and add the juice of 1 lemon. Rinse your hair with this mixture after washing your hair. There you go, healthy and lustrous hair in a jiffy!

6. For silky hair, use tea leaves decoction for rinsing.

7. Wet hair should not be brushed unless of course you have conditioned it or used a de-tangler on it. Brushing it could just cause it to stretch and break.

8. DO NOT use products having Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate on your hair. They are harmful chemicals that could damage your hair on the long run. Most importantly, they are alleged to be cancer causing agents.

9. If your hair is very oily, use a shampoo and conditioner which preferably contains mint and tea tree oils.

10. Use a conditioner on a daily basis and massage it in well and let it on for 2-3 minutes. If you have oily hair, resist the urge to rub in your conditioner. Most importantly RINSE THOROUGHLY!

11. Mayonnaise (that’s right, the sauce that you find in your kitchen) does wonders to dry hair. Slosh it on all over your hair and work it right down to your hair roots. Use a shower cap and leave on for a while and then rinse.

12. Stay away from bleaching: it can DAMAGE your hair! But if you really, truly, honestly have to do it…try not to leave it on for too long and don’t make it an every-day practice.

13. Get a trimming occasionally. Beware! Doing it yourself can leave you with hair ends which look like shark’s teeth… ;)

14. If you have hair which frizzes out like that of Einsten, put your hair into a bun before you go to bed. This will make it easier for you to brush in the morning.

Who knows…at the rate you are looking after yourself and your hair…you might be the next person to star in a world-renowned shampoo ad! Hope to see you there soon…Summery: This article describes how you too can achieve gloving, luxurious hair that is healthy, shinny and a real beau
