My style is simplicity and elegance coined with modesty. I believe this combination can make you look sophisticated and classy while maintaining an air of elegance.
If it is casual wear, I would sport t.shirt and jeans with sneakers without any accessories except a watch.
To work I like to look professional and wear well-cut business suits. I avoid buying the high end suits which are designer stuff, but find good suits especially during sales. I personally do not like wearing jewelry or accessories to work but might want to brighten up my suit with a neck scarf. To complete this outfit, I will wear a pair of good shoes and a nice hand bag but would avoid wearing similar color shoes and bag. I will make sure that my hair is well trimmed and the hair cut taken periodically without allowing it to grow out of control. The hair cut for me should be something easily manageable as well something that suits me and makes me look well groomed.
If I am going out for a office function and if it is something formal, I would wear a formal dress which may be knee high as I do not like to wear them short. May be a black dress with good shoes and bag. For accessories I will wear a dress watch (you can get beautiful dress watches studded with stones for a nominal price), a simple silver chain with a little white stone pendant and the matching ear studs. Good shoes and a nice hand bag will compliment my dress.
I am likely to wear similar clothes if I am going to an opera.
To church my clothes will depend on the season. If it is the summer, then I like to wear a colorful dress but not overly bright or loud with matching shoes and bag. Of course during the rest of the year I will dress up according to the season.
For a wedding, I would choose a simple elegant long dress which will not be a designer label but yet will accentuate my figure, without being too clingy and yet be age appropriate. As I always want to look elegant and yet modest in my attire, the dress will not be strappy nor low in front. I might go for something which is a little bit glitzy but not much. I believe that elegance and sophistication is at its best when you do not reveal your body. I may certainly have more accessories for the wedding outfit. The attire will be completed with a nice pair of shoes and a matching purse type bag. I might go and get my hair done and do something different with my hair style.
I would like to be seen as elegant, smart and modest and not over dressed for any occasion neither under dressed. |
