There are several ways to find electronic parts but before you do that you need to know the exact part you are looking for. For what type of equipment would you be looking for a part as there may be similar parts known by the same name which are used for several other electronic equipment. Unlike in the days gone by where you may have to go from vendor to vendor looking for a part, life has been made much easier with the advent of websites.

You can start searching for the items by using google. When you enter the part number and say find, you will find several distributors. If you do not know the exact make of the part you want then you can browse through all the sites and make your pick. Don't use just one distributor but request for quotes from several of them so that you have a choice to make. Some of the websites are well structured and even if you do not know the complete part number, the site will still be able to locate the exact part you want or else if you know only the name of the part, some sites are still able to find the part you may require.

Sometimes, you may not have to go through all this research, your local store may even have the part you want and it is still worth the try. This will certainly eliminate the time you may have to wait until the part is mailed to you. Further, in the unlikely event the part you receive is incorrect, you may then be saddled with a part you do not require and will either have to mail it back to them or even worse, be stuck with it and wait for another part to shipped.

One other source to finding parts is speaking to your friends and colleagues as they may have similar experiences in buying parts, or even the identical part you require. This may be a long shot in the dark, but still worth a try.
