The fashion industry is a huge big business with so many designers and aspiring designers all over the world wanting to creep into it.
Being fashionable is to wear clothes which are most current, but that again it is a personal preference and what is fashionable to one person may not necessarily be fashionable to the other. Fashion is however is a term used for glamour, beauty and style.
There are many cities which are famous for creating global fashions whereby designers and prospective designers exhibit their new clothing collections to the audiences. The response of the audience is what makes the item a fashion. Some of the famous cities are Paris, New York, London and Milan. These clothes are marketed at a price and is certainly not affordable to all and sundry. However, similar fashions are available sans the designer labels and that is what will be affordable to the majority.
It is an industry where employment is provided to many across the world. The industry is reliant firstly on fabrics and that alone is a massive industry providing employment to so many. The finished fabric is then sold to designers and other entrepreneurs who create fashionable clothing. The fabric alone is not sufficient as they will need the relevant accessories. To stitch the garment, thread is required and that is also another industry which provides so many people with jobs. To sew the garments machinery is required which once again creates the much needed employment opportunities for the masses. After the garment is completed it may have to be shipped to other parts of the world and by that the cargo and shipping or aviation industry gets involved. Once the product is received by the buyer, then these fashionable products have to be marketed and the marketing aspect may be outsourced which will give opportunity to another source of business. These items have to be sold in the market and for that purpose retail outlets are required and these retail outlets will provide yet again employment opportunities for a huge segment of people. Of course we cannot forgot the models who portray the clothes at its best. They are certainly a big contributor to the fashion industry.
Fashion industry is not contained to garments and clothes. Shoes, bags, accessories, lingerie, are all avenues connected to the fashion industry which coins together to bring out the best in a person. Fashionable clothes will be incomplete if not for the hair and beauty salons which will groom the individual to show of its best and this industry too contributes to solving the unemployment problem in the world. Jewelry is yet another must and that is patronised by the fashionable and also by the not so fashionable people.
What a huge industry the fashion industry is. It is no surprise that so many want to be a part of it. |
