It is important to remember that hygiene matters very much to anyone. Be clean. Even the most expensive clothes will not sit well on you if you are not clean. Wash yourself well and use deodorant. Body odor can make the other person run a mile away from you. Use some good perfume or fragrance as the case may. Strong cheap perfume can be irritating. If it is a man, shave and apply after shave lotion. Whether it is a man or woman, others always notice how your nails are. Make sure you have gone for your regular manicure and pedicure and your nails are clean.

Clothes portray who you are. Wear clothes that fit you. Tight clothes do not do justice to a large body. Do not wear clothes that are too loud but stick to clothes that are well cut and elegant. Do not also wear clothes which are too elaborate. Choose colors that compliments your skin. You can get an appropriate color test done to find out what colors are best for you. You will be amazed how wrong your opinion would have been on this matter. Do not wear everything that is in fashion because everything does not suit everyone. Be modest in your attire, do not expose your body even if you have the figure to do so, as that will make you look vulgar and cheap. Others will have no respect for you. Do not overdo with accessories. It can be annoying to see someone wear a lot of trinkets. Simple jewelry with an elegant watch, will compliment your clothes. Carry a handbag that is fitting for the occasion. Remember you cannot use a handbag that you use during the day, for the night. Similarly with shoes, a nice pair of matching stilettos will be good accompaniment to your outfit.

Pay equal attention to your hair. Unwashed, unruly hair will completely destroy the image you have tried to build so far. Make it look classy and elegant.

Now that you have the right attire, you need to present yourself well. Be confident but not arrogant. Do not be overly anxious to impress the other person. Do not act as if you are desperate to meet the person. Remember who you are. Be honest in your conversation and do not boast about yourself. It is not very complimentary to do so. Be confident and your confidence will make you feel good. That is all you need to impress someone.
