Clothing allergies you should know about
Clothes are important to cover our bodies for different reasons. The type of clothes worn varies from one country to another country and from locality to locality. Clothes worn may also be different depending on the social status of the wearer, culture, weather and the fashions in vogue. The occasion for which a person is dressed also can determine the type of clothes worn. For instance the clothes worn for an occasion like a wedding will be different from clothes worn to go to school. The clothing material will also be different from place to place and from occasion to occasion. The clothes may be made up of natural or synthetic textiles. However, whatever material the clothes are made of, there can be allergies which people should be aware of.

The textiles are prepared for the weather conditions of the area. Since cold countries and tropical countries have two different types of climatic conditions the people who live in these countries should choose the textiles that are suitable for the weather conditions in their countries. Some clothes are made out of artificial fibers, which are not usable for wearing for a long time. The fabrics that are made out of nylon or metal particles also have a short life span. These could cause scratching, smarting or discoloring of the skin in tender areas.

The cotton dresses are suitable for the people who live in tropical countries. This material is easy to wash and maintain. The minute gaps within the weavings of this material provide the necessary ventilation to evaporate perspiration, which comes out due to the hot weather. If any one wears nylon or any other synthetic dresses in hot weather he/she will feel uncomfortable since there are no gaps in this material for the sweat that is collected, to evaporate. This could lead to rashes and pricking blisters in under arms and genital areas.

The people in cold countries must use woolen clothes, to protect their bodies from the cold. The woolen or any other natural or artificial clothes for cold climate do not provide ventilation to the user. Thus, whenever possible, these clothes should be washed or dry-cleaned and at least should be dried in hot sun. Otherwise, fungus will be collected and it could causes infections.

Using nylon under garments for long periods too is not hygienic. The cotton or any other material similar to cotton should be used for under garments. Due to the warmth and lack of ventilation a fungus will breed and may spread out to the other parts of the body. There could be black patches or blisters visible.

The nightclothes should be always very light and suitable for the climate. If it is a warm climate, the cottons are the best for night garments. In the cold seasons light woolen materials should be worn. These clothes should be frequently washed and cleaned. Otherwise there could be fungus leading to rashes and other skin ailments.

When buying clothes it is not only the fashion that should be considered; the health factor should be taken into consideration. The suitability of the clothes and the need to prevent allergies should be borne in mind.
