The books of the Bible are places of reference for those who want to know what's written in a certain part of the Bible. The first book is called Geniuses and the last book is called Exodus. Different sectors of Christianity and Catholicism refer to different sections of the Bible for guidance.

The world of children's books plays a great role in building up the characters of Children. The kids' stories have captured a greater part of the world of fictions. Although these look as children's stories, the profound theme of the stories is not for children but for adults. Thus, we cannot accept these as children literature. Author Katherine Mansfield wrote many short stories connected to childhood. The main reason for this is that most of the first hand experiences on the environment of the society is absorbed during the childhood.

The books for children contain mostly the large font, and colored illustrations inside pages. This is a characteristic of the books for the pre-school age kids. The cover page and the back page too, contain attractive colored pictures and the harder covers than the books for the other ages. Generally, the stories carry very simple day-to-day incidents. The number of characters in the stories is limited to four or less than four.

The language of the stories for the children is simple and free of ambiguity. It is easy to understand. The storywriters always target to make the child live in the stories or to read the stories repeatedly. The length of the stories is suitably arranged for the age group. The kids of age 7 to 10 prefer longer stories than of children in age five to seven years. Thus, when considering the length and the contents of the story, the writers must be aware of the age limits of the readers.

When considering the stories for older children it should be remembered that they find their heroes and try to imitate them in the real life. The story 'Tarzan' and 'The Jungle Boy' make children to play using hanging creepers or tires. Story 'Harry Potter' is so famous; the story is translated into many languages. It is very important to follow the main characteristics of children's stories when writing stories for them.
