About all time movies

All time movies would be classified differently for different people. In a general sense these movies last throughout the years even though times changes and new fads emerge. People later in time can still relate to these films and enjoy watching classic actors in action.

1. The Shawshank Redemption

After murdering his wife, banker Andrew Dufrense is sent to prison. Over the years, he befriends a longtime convict 'Red' Redding and retains hope, slowly getting the respect of the other prisoners and becoming influential, thereby achieving what he needs in his own terms.

2. The Godfather

Vito Corleone is the head of the Corleone Mafia Family, and his son, Michael has come from WWII, but wants to lead a normal life. An assassination attempt is made on his father's life by Sollozzo, which leads Michael to wage war against Sollozzo and tears the Corleones apart.

3. The Dark Knight

Batman, Lt. Jim Gordon and new DA Harvey Dent set out to rid Gotham City of the criminals that have been plaguing the city for years. As their work seems over, a mysterious character called Joker comes, and wrecks havoc, which forces Batman to summon every ounce of strength possible to defeat him, while also being engaged in a love triangle with Rachel Dawes and Dent.

4. The Godfather II

This film focuses on Vito Corleone's childhood and his journey to becoming the mafia don, while Michael Corleone is on a journey to expand his family business to Vegas, Hollywood and Cuba.

5. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

The Good is Blondie, a good gunman with a sense of personal honour. The Bad is Angel Eyes, a hitman who doesn't miss. The Ugly is Tuco, a bandit who only looks out for himself. All 3 are on the search for gold, but each knows the location of a portion, and none of them are willing to share.

6. Pulp Fiction

Jules and Vincent are working for crime boss Marcellus Wallace. Wallace is trying to get his money back from a boxer who failed to throw a fight. Vincent is put deeper into trouble when Wallace asks him to look after his wife while he is away.

7. Schindler's List

Oskar Schindler, a ruthless businessman, starts a factory with Jews, but sees the horror being born by them, and creates a list of 1100 Jews whom he sayes from certain death.

8. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

McMurphy, a rape convict, tries to avoid prison work by acting like he's mad. This backfires when he's sent to a mental asylum. He tries to liven up the place by playing basketball and cards with the other inmates, but his disregard of the hospital routine gets on Nurse Ratched's nerves!

9. Star Wars V - The Empire Strikes Back

Han Solo, Princess Leia and Chewbacca are affected by an attack by the Imperial Army. Luke Skywalker seeks Yoda to acquire skills which'll help him in a destiny-defining duel with Darth Vader.

10. 12 Angry Men

The defence and prosecution have rested. The jury is to decide whether a young Spanish-American is guilty for murdering his father. What seems like a dead-sure case turns into a drama of each of the jurors' prejudices and preconception about the trial, accused, and of each other.
