Fraud is a crime. Ever wonder what goes through a frauds mind. Here is a look at some of those thoughts,

- Often when people are faced with deep financial concerns they turn to acts of crime, which results in fraud. These acts often lead to more grievous and serious acts of fraud.

- Competition among friends - who can own the best car or buy the most exclusive piece of real estate. The need to 'keep up with the Joneses' with the latest trends will give a fraud the encouragement to turn to fraudulent acts.

- Competition at work - often jealousies at work may give someone the need to become a fraud. They often think that fraud will get them the much awaited promotion or become a rich status symbol.

- Sibling rivalry - long standing rivalry in the family can also provoke a person to obtain material things through fraudulent acts.

- Access to the right resources- in a work place having access to valuable information and records will give a person the opportunity to steal and cheat. These employees feel that they can cover our tracks since they know the 'ins' and 'outs' of the way things work in the work place.

- Small lead to large scale fraud - often a fraud start with something small and if it's a success the fraud build up his confidence to carry out further and more complicated frauds.

Most often fraudulent acts are committed at the work place and have been a breading ground for the most popular acts of fraud that go down in history.
