An Interview with Dr. Marie H. Jhin on Radiesse.

Dr. Marie H. Jhin is a Board Certified Dermatologist by the American Board of Dermatology. Here the doctor has answered some common questions that Bizymoms visitors have about Radiesse.

Q.  What is Radiesse?

A.  Radiesse is dermal filler made from Calcium Hydroxyapatite particles that are synthesized, biocompatible to stimulate your collagen. It is used to in the face to help with wrinkles, and volume loss from aging. We inject for smile lines, marionette lines and in the jowls and cheeks to give a natural lift.

Q.  Is the procedure painful?

A.  We make sure patients are comfortable and topical anesthesia is given if necessary. The Radiesse is dilute with lidocaine so the injections are not too painful.

Q.  How long does it take to recover from Radiesse treatment?

A.  We try and minimize bruising so only a few days are needed to recover.

Q.  How long does it take for results from the Radiesse treatment to show?

A.  The results are seen immediately and lasts over 1 year. It also continues to stimulate your natural collagen so less is needed later.

Q.  How long do the results last?

A.  The product lasts usually 1 year.

Q.  Are there complications and risks involved?

A.  There are always risks with any form of filler such as bruising, swelling, and rarely infections or visible bumps. Most risks are temporary and not permanent.

Q.  What factors are considered when Radiesse treatment is recommended?

A.  Radiesse is great for anyone who has smile lines or marionette lines that are deep. It is also great for someone who has sagging skin and doesn’t want a facelift.

Q.  How can we contact Dr. Jhin if we have further questions?

A.  My email is info@premier-dermatology.com; Contact number is 415-371-8600; and our website is www.premier-dermatology.com
