Rock Island Events And Attractions
The Broadway Historic District is a historic district which has obtained national recognition. It is located in Rock Island, Illinois. It has over 550 Victorian homes in addition to other historical building. They are famous for their ‘Great Unveiling’ program. This program encourages the disposal of artificial siding from these historic houses. On the 14th of August, 1998, the Broadway Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places, further enhancing its reputation. The architectural style of the Broadway Historic District can be described as Colonial Revival, Queen Anne and Italianate. |
