Tips to Keeping Love Alive

Marriage takes a lot of work no matter what. Here are some tips and ideas of some special actions that you can take to help keep love alive in your life.

Get home before your spouse and trace a path from the front door to the bedroom with votive candles. In the bedroom, have lit candles, a bottle of wine [or a drink of your choice,] and strawberries covered with chocolate.

Put a romantic note in his shirt or pants pocket and let him find it.

Leave a note on your partners pillow letting him know how much you want or need him.

Give your loved one a top ten list: Top ten reasons Why I Love You.

Stick an “I LOVE YOU” note on his steering wheel.

Give him a golf ball [or any other thing that he is interested in] for every year you’ve known him.

Reenact the best date the two of you ever had.

Put your favorite love note in a frame.

Take walks together. Consider a walk on a moonlit night.

Buy him a copy of his favorite magazine.

Write a love letter in a code.

Plan a special day together for just the two of you. May be a weekend getaway.

Be playful laugh together.

Take turns initiating affection so that it does not always fall under the responsibility of the same partner.

Go to a romantic restaurant from time to time, not always to a family buffet.

Have candle light dinners at home.

Watch romantic movies.

Hold your spouse in such a way that he knows that you care.

Make sure the children go to bed at a decent hour so you will have time together alone.

If you have teenagers, plan Saturday morning dates when they tend to sleep in.

Always give your spouse a goodbye hug and kiss before leaving the house.

When you return home greet your spouse first, even though the children will run to the door first.

Say “I LOVE YOU” often.

Save some of your best self each day for your spouse. Do not give him leftovers.

Respect your spouse even when you disagree. Never belittle your spouse, whether or not others are around.

When at a party, from time to time, whisper something sexy on your partner’s ear. Do this when he is in front of other people. Watch his reaction.

f you want good health, you must eat right and exercise. If you want a marriage that embraces passion, you must take the time to enjoy the company of the person you love. Believe that passion can be recaptured and grow to unimaginable dimensions. There are indefinite ways to make your partner feel loved, wanted and interested in you. So don’t let routine or anything else destroy your relationship.
