According to statistics the number of self esteem related issues have risen drastically over the years. Whenever you feel less about yourself that is a clear indication that the level of your self esteem is declining. It is vitally important to boost up your self esteem to lead your normal day to day life. Dealing with self esteem issues can be challenging but these specified guidelines can help you enhance your self esteem.
- Do something that you have been putting away for along time. Which means you have to make a decision and follow it through, it maybe a simple task like cleaning your purse, calling a friend or fixing a healthy and fulfilling meal.
- Engage yourself in doing something that you are good at. So eventually you feel good about yourself. It will be very helpful if you engage in an activity that requires your fullest attention. Thereby making you forget about everything else. You could try dancing, swimming, running, cooking, etc. that way you feel more competent, accomplished, and capable of yourself which is a great antidote for low self esteem.
- Low self esteem most of the time is accompanied by too much focus on the self. As told before take your mind off yourself, it will surely make you feel better in an instant.
- Get yourself relaxed whenever possible. Try to do some meditation, Tai chi or yoga everyday. It will surely relax your body, mind and soul and is a ‘rescue remedy’ because when you are properly relaxed your brain is less emotional and your memory remembers good events and it works better.
- Always remember the following
- Try and remember all the things you have achieved so far. It need not to be big it can simply be the first time cooked a new recipe and that it was a huge hit amongst your family, or something like passing your driving test, etc.
- Remember that you could be wrong at times. So what you think about you [the negative things] may be wrong. When you feel bad about yourself you will tend to remember the bad times, here is where the rescue remedy comes in handy.
- Always believe that you are beautiful. Hold your head high up think beautiful and live beautiful.
- Nothing makes a woman more attractive than a smile. Keep that in mind and SMILE,SMILE,SMILE J
For women beauty is an issue. The major problem is that the standards the media has imprinted into everyone’s brains have very little to do with the average women. They are the, at best, impossible and fascist standards. Women should start to look beyond these standards and understand that the most important part of beauty comes from within. Outer beauty fades through time, but inner beauty lasts throughout your whole life.
Once you have started following these guidelines, try to make it a permanent part of your life. Good self esteem is not just a happy accident, it’s a result of the way you think and the things they do from day to day. Good luck!!! |
