Q. What is reconstructive surgery?
Reconstructive surgery is the basis of all Plastic Surgery. It utilizes Plastic (from the Greek word Platikos, which means pliable or moveable - it has nothing to do with Plastic!) Surgical techniques to restore function and appearance as best possible.
Q. Do you have hospital privileges to perform this surgery?
I have full hospital privileges to perform all the surgeries I do, though I operate almost exclusively in my own AAAASF accredited Surgery Facility.
Q. What benefits does Reconstructive surgery provide?
All Plastic Surgery benefits the patients by fostering harmony between the way we look and the way we feel. The restoration of a person's appearance is life transforming.
Q. Does Reconstructive surgery have possible risks and complications?
All surgeries have inherent potential for complications. In general, the most common complications are the most minor, and the most serious are the rarest.
Q. How long does it take to recover from Reconstructive surgery?
Recovery from surgery varies from just a few days to a few weeks.
Q. Does Reconstructive surgery leave any visible scarring?
All surgery leaves scars (which are permanent) but we do our best to hide or disguise them.
