Q. How long does a hair transplant procedure take?
The length of time that a hair transplant takes varies depending on the extent of the hair loss and the total number of grafts needed. For example, 1500 grafts requires approximately a half day, whereas a procedure requiring 3,500 or more grafts would require an entire day.
Q. What is the PRP treatment?
The PRP treatment is not FDA approved for hair loss, subsequently, we do not offer it.
Q. Are the clients kept conscious during the procedure?
Patients are fully conscious during the procedure. We utilize a local anesthesia . Patients are fully aware of their surroundings and are able to talk, watch television and relax.
Q. When will the newly transplanted hair start to grow?
The newly transplanted hair typically goes dormant soon after the procedure. Usually in about three months it will begin growing and will be visible after approximately six months. At the 12 month stage typically the hair is completely grown in.
Q. When can the clients resume normal activities like washing hair, going in the sun, etc.?
Patients are able to shampoo their hair the day after the procedure and every day thereafter. We recommend patients refrain from cardio exercise and heavy weight lifting for one to two weeks following the procedure.
Q. Are there any simple outpatient procedures available?
All procedures are performed on a out-patient basis. |
