Organic products have to be certified by a professional body before they carry the “organic” label. Although increasing numbers of products are turning “green” there is still very little awareness regarding certified organic skin care products.
Many conventional over-the-counter beauty products contain a number of harsh chemicals with few or no natural ingredients. This can be very harmful to the skin in the long run. In fact such products could even aggravate the skin condition which you are trying to treat. For instance, some acne medication contains alcohol which can dry out the skin. This could increase the production of sebum by the skin further contributing to the acne problem and worsening it rather than curing it.
Certified organic skin care products contain ingredients that have been obtained from plants which have been grown organically.
