Oregon, My Oregon
Written by A. Buchanan of Astoria and Henry B. Murtagh of Portland Adopted on February 12, 1927
Land of the Empire Builders, Land of the Golden West; Conquered and held by free men, Fairest and the best. Onward and upward ever, Forward and on, and on; Hail to thee, Land of Heroes, My Oregon.
Land of the rose and sunshine, Land of the summer's breeze; Laden with health and vigor, Fresh from the Western seas. Blest by the blood of martyrs, Land of the setting sun; Hail to thee, Land of Promise, My Oregon. |

Living in Oregon, Express your views about living in Oregon
People love to live in Oregon which has a low crime rate which allows you to walk the streets and let your children play with little worry. It is a great place to raise a family. There are many small towns which are not crowded. It is a healthy place to live because of conservatism and you might have to remember that you cannot smoke in public places. The general standard of education in Oregon is not the best but there are many schools that can be identified as top of line schools. As the cost of living is much less than the U.S. average the quality of living is better.

Travel Oregon
In Oregon, there’s always something to do. You can play world-class golf, cycle along hundreds of miles of designated bike lanes, take road-trips to wine country, hunt for fossils or get lost in the moment of a brilliantly crafted scene of play at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
There’s also plenty to see. In addition to pristine public beaches, high-desert country, painted hills and wine-producing valleys, Oregon is home to North America’s deepest river Gorge (Hells Canyon), the country's deepest lake (Crater Lake) and the world’s second-most-climbed mountain (Mt. Hood), which also happens to host North America’s only year-round ski season.
