The Damon System vs. conventional appliances - a comparative study on types of braces
Prior to conducting a comparison of the Damon System with conventional types of braces, it is important for you to know the specifics of the Damon System of braces.
Basically, a patient using the Damon system of braces will be exposed to a new and different method of applying the braces. This system makes use of specials arches and brackets so that it will create a very low amount of friction in the braces’ mechanics. On average, people who got treatment from the Damon System were able to spend less time on their treatment. Statistically, Damon system using patients spent 7 months less on treatment than patients who underwent treatment using the conventional system.
In terms of the frequency of the appointments, patients who utilized the Damon system were subjected to nearly 50% less meetings than those who used the conventional system.
Patients who took treatment with conventional braces spent around six months to achieve the aimed amount of leveling and aligning. On the other hand, Damon patients spent only three months to achieve the same result.
In terms of comfort levels, Damon system using patients were subjected to a reduction of nearly 60% of discomfort as opposed to conventional system using patients.
Following the results of the surveys, it was seen that patients who underwent treatment using the Damon system were much more acceptable and enthusiastic about their treatment system.
Finally, the researchers came to the conclusion that, in a comparison of conventional system of braces with Damon system of braces, the better one was from Damon. They further concluded that the Damon system was a far speedier and effective system than conventional system of braces.
