Jojoba oil is a multi-purpose miracle product which is colorless and odorless. This special oil is easy to find, is inexpensive and can be used from head to toe. It is one of the best natural hair moisturizers.

Dry hair is a common problem due to insufficient or lack of natural moisturizers and oil. This can be due to over-exposure to the sun, excessive dying of the hair, washing with harsh chemicals, and the use of hot styling methods or styling products. The answer to this problem is the use of natural moisturizers. Jojoba oil is a highly recommended moisturizer which brings out the shine and brightness of hair.

Tomatoes cut into slices or its juice or the paste applied to your hair will increase the natural pH balance of the hair. Other natural hair moisturizers which will help the hair to shine are bananas, chamomile tea and coffee.

Shea butter is considered as a good moisturizer, as well. Papaya oil and ayurvedic oils which have made their way into food shops are also very effective.

You can buy natural hair moisturizers or you can resort to homemade recipes, which are far cheaper and more reliable to use. Coconut and sunflower oil are excellent hair moisturizers, which bring out the natural color of the hair. All you have to do is massage the oil into the scalp. Avocado with mayonnaise is a good moisturizer for dry and brittle hair.

Egg yolk is a natural tonic, which should be massaged into the scalp and rinsed off with warm water. It has eleven nutrients which are essential for the hair.

There are several other natural hair moisturizers such as olive, almond, ylang-ylang, rosemary essential oil, emu oil, and germ oil. Herbal oils are also effective hair moisturizers and all these oils provide antioxidants, nutrients and vitamins, which are essential to maintaining healthy scalp and hair. A mixture of any of these oils with honey is a good hair mask.

Ayurvedic therapy for natural moisturizing of the hair is regular brushing, which will stimulate the oil producing glands. For extra shine, rinse the hair with warm water mixed with lemon juice. Other good moisturizers include:

• Coconut and name oil with a tea spoon of camphor,
• Mixture of one teaspoon each of castor, mustard and coconut oil, and
• 1/3 lemon juice mixed with 2/3 coconut oil.

Massage any of these natural moisturizing agents to the roots of the hair regularly to bring out a natural glow and shine to your hair.
