Q. What Causes Periodontal Diseases?

A. Periodontal disease is caused by poor oral hygiene, period!

Q. Can Periodontal Diseases Be Prevented?

A. 98% of treatment we perform is totally preventable! Hygiene and diet are the major factors.

Q. How Does Plaque Attack the Gums? How Do You Stop Plaque Attacks?

A. Poor hygiene allows plaque build up which irritates the gums.  Next is inflammation and the infection.
Plaque starts forming within 20 minutes of cleaning.  So plaque attacks can be prevented by regular cleaning 2-3 times daily.

Q. What kind of toothpaste should I use?

A. Fluoride containing toothpaste is the preferred cleaning agent for children 2 years and older.
