Q. Why is it important to know about the hair transplant procedures available?
A. Utilizing the advanced techniques & technologies we offer, a totally undetectable and permanent result which is possible.
Q. Tell us more about the body hair transplantation procedure?
A. I do not offer this procedure in my practice. The results do not meet my required expectations.
Q. Are the hair transplant procedures painful?
A. No, Hair restoration procedures are easily & comfortably performed in the office using a local anesthetic.
Q. How many hairs are transplanted per session?
A. Usually, at least 2500 hairs & as many as 10,000 hairs. (There is about 100,000 hairs on a full head of hair)
Q. What can be expected after hair restoration surgery?
A. The procedure is simple without significant risk. Stitches or small clips are removed from the back of the scalp (donor area) at 7-10 days, but hair washing can occur the day after the procedure. The hair grafts that are transferred from the area of abundance to the area of need start growing hair after about 3-5 months. The final result is achieved at 10-12 months.
Q. Can the clients wear their hair short?
A. If your procedure is performed by me, I guarantee the scar will not be apparent or I will revise it at no charge. It takes only about 10 minutes to revise it. So short hair length can be comfortably worn. Unfortunately, many patients come to me with scars that are not acceptable from other places, but revisions are often not too difficult.
Q. What is the difference between mini/micro grafting and follicular unit grafting?
A. Follicular unit grafting is transferring the natural groupings of hairs which may be 1, 2, 3 or 4 hairs growing naturally in a follicle whereas mini/micro units are larger groupings. I guarantee a natural appearance because I only move them the way "Mother Nature" grows them. |
