Lick-e-tee Split Lasagna Back to Home

If your children play with their food during dinner, fear not! The time has come for them to lick their plates clean. This lasagna will get your kids to scrape their plates so clean that they will look as they have already been washed! Lasagna couldn’t possibly get more fun and tasty than this!

Lick-e-tee Split Lasagna
Serves 6

Ingredients
12 oz. ground beef, cooked and drained
2 & 1/2 cups marinara sauce
6 lasagna noodles
1 & 1/2 cups cottage cheese
1 & 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (6 oz.)
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

1. Spoon 1 cup of the spaghetti sauce in the bottom of a 2-quart rectangular baking dish.

2. Place 2 uncooked noodles on top of sauce at bottom of dish.

3. Stir remaining spaghetti sauce into meat in skillet and cook over medium heat until hot, stirring occasionally.

4. Remove meat mixture from heat and spread one-third of the meat mixture on top of noodles.

5. Spread 3/4 cup of the cottage cheese over meat.

6. Sprinkle1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese over cottage cheese.

7. Add another layer of 2 uncooked noodles, one-third of the meat mixture, the remainder of the cottage cheese, and 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese.

8. Layer remaining uncooked noodles, meat mixture and mozzarella cheese.

9. Finally, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top.

10. Cover baking dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.
