o Have the necessary skills. You need the basic skills, as well as you need to have professional skills. Basic skills range from typing, communication and language. Professional skills required are technical writing, graphic arts, web designing, programming and use of various software and internet based packages. You can self study most of these and attend refresher courses to keep yourself updated with current standards.
o Office Equipment. You don’t need to have all the office equipment but the basics such as a computer, internet, printer, fax machine, scanner, and update computer software.

o You need to market yourself. So you’ve met the required criteria in to be a Virtual Assistant, but to draw the client to your service or business effective marketing is required. You can register yourself with an online job bank, tell family and friends and offer freelance service so that you get the gist of things.
The Virtual Assistant Business is a high lucrative business, because the resources you use is minimum and the gain is much higher than your own overhead costs, therefore giving you pure profit.
