When I was a little girl, my Mom used to buy me baby dolls to play with. Unfortunately, once I received them, I would cut all of their hair off, paint their faces green and tell my Mom they joined the army.
Hi. I am a Captain in the United States Army, and have been in the military for the past 4 years. I am in Military Intelligence and have received wonderful training and great opportunities to see parts of the world that many people have not seen. The weather was usually freezing and I was sleeping in a tent, but it was a new place. =) I love the military, and although my lifelong ambition growing up was to become a 4 star general in the military, I now have a job that is even more important. I am the Mom of a beautiful 21 month old son.
From the time I laid eyes on my son, I knew that my life was going to change. I didn't want to volunteer for all of those overseas assignments anymore. Now I want to be with my son as often as possible.
When my son was 7 months old, I had to stop breastfeeding him and go on 3 separate trips to Germany, each about 2.5 weeks in length. It ripped my heart out to leave him. I do not know if I will get out of the Army in the near future, but I began a side business of web page design and computer program development in the hopes that it will become profitable and I can maybe one day get out and spend more time with my family.
I also have taken some Microsoft Certified Courses and I am currently working on my Microsoft Certified Solution Developer title. My web site is for all parents and list helpful information for parenting, career enhancements, and of course there is the free items section. But, the services I offer are web page design of all kinds, computer program development for daily mundane tasks, and I am also working on a Nanny / Day Care / Baby Sitter Referral Service.
Now, you may ask why these particular areas? Well, as a military Mom, I know that the hardest thing in the world is finding someone you trust to leave your child with. The military constantly moves you around and you're usually not near family. So, my service will link you up with the providers in the area you are moving to and even offer you their references. The web page design again comes from my knowledge that being away from family is hard. My mother calls me everyday and ask how "her" baby is. With a family web page, all of my family can see my son and his latest accomplishments. The program development comes from being tired of doing mundane task over and over. I develop programs so that you have an easy form to fill out, or an easy data base to read.
Well, I hope that you enjoy my site and I look forward to hearing from everyone.
Let me know if I can help you in any way, or let me know what you think of my site. I expect it to be totally complete by March 31st but it's off to a good start.
