Starting Your Own Baby Towel Business

Just as much as moms are interested in children’s clothing and accessories, as a mom you may also remember the enormous time taken just to search for that special towel which will complement your little ones bath time!

Surprisingly this area has not been caught up in the business world yet and there are very few who offer such unique towels and bathrobes specially designed for children.

If you know the basic of sewing, are creative with designs and know exactly what colors are desired by children, you might want to start making towels specially designed for kids!

We all know how hard it is to get kids into the bath tub, but sometimes diverting their attention to the towels designed with their favorite cartoon character can actually encourage them to take a bath! Not only has the towel got to be attractive but it’s important to pay special attention to the softness of the material as well.

Things to get you Started
All you need is your sewing machine and super absorbent towel material. The material can be purchased for a considerably cheap amount at any wholesale garment distributor in your area. Using 100% cotton for the towels is advised.

The next important tool you need is imagination and creativity! You can make bath towels, hand towels, hooded towels, bath robes or even neat toys that kids would love to play while taking a bath!

Market Competition
This is the best time to start your baby towel business because there aren’t many competitors in this area.  It is fairly new and it is easy to make your name in the business.

Selling your Towels
You can start by presenting your towels at baby showers and gifting them to newborns. This will be excellent marketing and will introduce you to more clients.

Put up some flyers at your local community or club house. You can also team up with a local baby shop where you can sell your products. Email marketing is also helpful if you can attach few pictures of the towels and email them to everyone in your list. Your contacts will eventually forward your email to potential customers.

You can even have a virtual store online which will help you find clients from all over the world!
