Welcome To Living In Houston
Living in the fourth largest city in the USA, Houston moms can talk endless things about this great city. Whether you are new to Houston, or you have been a resident for a long time, either way the Living in Houston forum is most ideal for you.

If you do not like the city life, Houston has a plethora of ideal suburbs to live in. Villages such as Piney Point, Bellaire, The Woodlands, Cypress and Sugar Land are only a few good places to name among the large list of neighborhoods in Houston. These are the ideal areas to look for houses if you are thinking about living in Houston. If you have schooling children consider Bellaire, since it is noted for its High School and baseball. League City is another option for families looking for good education. Since most financial hubs and institutions are easily accessible people enjoy walking mostly. Compared to other areas housing in League City is ideal for budget-conscious families. In other words it has something for everyone.
The Living in Houston forum encourages all moms to promote their neighborhood and educate others by discussing about the pros and cons in living in Houston.

Relocating to Houston???
My husband's company maybe reclocating him Houston. It looks like more than just office gossip this time, so we're trying to learn about the city and where we might like to live.

I have never been to Houston. My husband has been there on a few business trips but hasn't really been able to experience anything, but the traffic.

We have 3 chrildren ( 12, 8 and 3 yrs ), so schools are also important to us. We are fine with plubic school. My husband and I want our kids to attend a "high proforming" school that has low disciplinary as well as high parent involvement and suports the arts.

Not only do we have 3 children, but we also have a dog. So neighborhoods that have good sized yards would also be really nice.

I'd love to hear the about Houston and the surrounding areas and their schools. I would really appreciate honesty, and the pros and cons.

I'm really excited to hear what you all have to say! And I'm looking forward to being in the south again! (I'm from Mephis, TN and now live in Coloardo Springs, CO)

Thanks yall!
Brandie

Hi Brandie, good to see you on the Living In Houston forum and thank you for joining the discussion.
If you know the location of your husband's job, it is best that you look for houses in that area. Houston is so big and there are so many wonderful areas you can pick. The best areas to my knowledge are Cypress/Spring, Katy, the Woodlands and maybe Sugar Land.
Good luck in finding a new home. Ciao till next time.
