An Interview with Dr. Tyler H. Jolley on Braces

Dr. Tyler H. Jolley is a dentist and has answered some of the common questions Bizymoms visitors have about Braces.

Q. Can one be too old for braces?

A. No.

Q. How much do braces cost?

A. The cost varies from case to case depending on a variety of factors i.e. treatment time, difficulty of the case, etc.

Q. Will one need to have teeth extracted for braces?

A. For some cases extractions will be needed.  The % of our cases with extractions in our practice is only about 10%.

Q. How long will it take to complete the treatment?

A. Varies by case.  Treatment typically lasts 12-24 months.

Q. Can a person wear braces even though that person may have crowns and missing teeth?

A. Yes.

Q. How can I prevent my child from being embarrassed by wearing braces?

A. Today, most children and teens require some type of orthodontic treatment which is why we offer options that will meet the needs, lifestyle, and personality of most patients.  These options include:  metal braces, clear braces, or invisalign.  Our patients are excited about choosing the color of bands they wear around their brackets whether it is their team colors, a holiday palate, or simply their favorite colors.  Also, as they transition through orthodontic treatment you can remind them of the great smile that they will enjoy at the end.

Q. How to contact Dr. Jolley if we have further questions?
