Q. What is yoga and what are the benefits?


A. Yoga is an amazing journey.  You can lose weight, gain balance and coordination, get strong and flexible, to name a few.  You also get happy, which is quite a benefit.  There is a spiritual component that you can choose to also explore, depending on your belief system.  The joy of yoga is you can pick and choose what  to learn and how it incorporates into your life.  It is a joyous experience, which is one of the reasons I named my company joyousyoga.  My website is www.joyousyoga.com

Q. Is yoga suitable for all ages?

A. Yes, I have kids to seniors, everyone loves it once they find the right type of yoga.  I teach so many types, you are sure to find your niche.  And if I don't have what you need, I can give you some recommendations on types to try.

Q. What are the main types of yoga available?


A. There is gentle, beginners, ashtanga, yin, restorative, and power to name just a few!   Ashtanga is one of my favorites, it is a challenging set of poses for the athletic individual.
