1. 52 Card Pickup
This is for those of you who have a warped sense of humour. Basically, you take a pack of 52 cards and walk up to someone and ask "Do you wanna play 52 Card Pickup?". They'd reply "Sure, how do you play it?". Throw all the cards in the air, thereby creating a mess on the floor. Then, you say "Pick'em up"!
2. Cheat
The whole pack of cards are dealt in rotation, one - by - one. It doesn't matter if someone has more or less. The player to the left of the dealer starts proceedings by dropping an Ace face - down to the centre of the table. The next drops a 2, the next drops 3, and the game goes on. However, if you don't have the required card, you can drop any other card. If the person next to you suspects that you haven't put the required card calls "Cheat!". You then have to reveal the card that you dropped. If you've put the wrong card, you have to take the whole pile. If you've put the correct card, the caller has to take the whole pile. The person who finishes his cards first wins.
3. Crazy Eights
The dealer deals seven cards to each player. The rest of the cards are placed at the centre of the table, and the top card is put face - up beside the other pile to form the 'discard' pile. A player starts by discarding a card of the same suit, for e.g. if the card on the top of the discard pile is a 9 of clover, the next person can discard either another 9, or another clover card. If the player doesn't have a card of the same suit, he has to pick a card from the discard pile.
Even if the person has the suit, he can pick from the discard pile to prevent other players from winning. The first person to discard all their cards wins.
4. Slapjack
A 52 card pack is dealt amongst the players, but all players don't necessarily have to have the same number of cards. They should place the cards face - down in a pile in front of them, and have to take the top - most card, and place it in the center. The players keep doing this in turn, until a jack is revealed. The first player to get their hand on the pile takes the whole pile and keeps it under his pile. The player with all the cards wins. |
