An Interview with Dr. David J. Sire on Radiesse.

Dr. David J. Sire is a Board Certified Dermatologist by the American Board of Dermatology. Here the Doctor has answered some common questions that Bizymoms visitors have about Radiesse.

Q.  How long does it take to recover from Radiesse treatment?

A.  There is no specific recovery time from Radiesse injections.  There may be some swelling, which typically lasts less than one day and occasionally bruising from the injection.

Q.  How long does it take for results from the Radiesse treatment to show?

A.  Radiesse is stimulatory filler which makes new collagen in the body.   Results are visible within a day or two when the transient swelling subsides.

Q.  How long do the results last?

A.  The results of Radiesse can last 12 to 18 months generally.

Q.  Are there complications and risks involved?

A.  The most frequent complication is bruising of the skin.  There have been nodules and granulomas which have been seen.  The nodules are present within a week or two of the injections and are usually excess material which can be treated with injections.  Rarely granulomas have appeared weeks to months after the injections and are allergic reactions.  I have not had one of these in our practice.

Q.  How can we contact Dr. Sire if we have further questions?

A.  If you have further questions, please contact the center.
