1. What is the Child Franchise market like?
Anything to do with children these days is very powerful. But when it impacts parents and children directly that’s when you know you have a product that is even more powerful than any other program out there. By that I mean something that will ultimately impact children’s health and the way they will look at physical fitness for the rest of their lives.
2. How was the Kidokinetics concept inspired?
It was inspired by my love of teaching children and also my desire to want to make sure children not only had a positive outlook on physical fitness but also felt competent at every sport, which in turn would help there confidence in life.
3. Why did you decide to franchise?
I had many requests from all over, from people wanting to do what I am doing. They also wanted a program that had a solid foundation. So I decided to franchise once I felt that I had been through most of the learning curves and I could give them a product I felt they could use any where in the world as long as there are children.
4. Do you believe that Kidokinetics is a great franchising opportunity for women?
This is ideal for women and also for a stay at home mom wanting to run her own successful business in her own time, working her hours. I have 2 little boys and a third baby due in 2 weeks and I am the model they should look at as I have run this business with all my children at home and could not imagine having to have gone to an office or to have had my children in daycare.
5. What do your existing franchisees say about you?
I only started franchising recently. At this time I have not sold yet but have a few in the works. I currently run 82 locations myself in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County. This would be a great time to get into franchising with Kidokinetics as there are so many perks to be one of the first franchises.
6. What is your Birthday Party package all about?
2 Hours of sport and games. It is just like parties used to be a lot of interaction with the children. We get the dads involved in tug of war. We are doing something with the children all the time. We do so many repeat parties.
7. In your opinion, what is the greatest thing about being a Kidokinetics franchisee?
The service you will be giving to children from 18 months -12 years old is phenomenal. You are involved with a great program, that is well thought out and put together and offers a dynamic program. Most of all you will receive support and training all the time as a franchisee's success is our success.
8. What would be a good formula for success as a Kidokinetics franchisee?
To truly have children’s best interest at heart and to love teaching children and want to make a difference in this world. Also to have good marketing skills and to be able to sell you believe in.
9. The most important lesson you have learnt along the way?
Everything that happens in life happens for a reason. We should take each day as a lesson and count our blessings for what we have in life.
10. How would you encourage moms out there who are looking to own their own business?
Number one priority in life should always be family and if you are interested in having that as a priority but also owning your own business get into something that involves children and you can run from home. It is great to have that flexibility..
