I've lost count of how many business's I had or been involved in, but most of those were when I was much younger and greener

The business I am currently building is a network/mlm type, although it has none of the hang-ups of previous mlm's I've been in. It did'nt cost me anything to join and does'nt cost me anything to run (unless you count the electricity for my laptop and my broadband connection). I also like the concept, very simple and no qualifiers to get your commissions.

Top of my list for worst business was when I had a company that cleaned air-conditioning units and ducting. YUK! Coming home filthy every nite and breathing in goodness knows what The only good part was that I sold the busines for a healthy profit and I was outta there

I've tried 3 businesses and I like them all. I'm currently doing 2 of them actively. I am a Trainer/ Benefit Plans Specialist. I get to help people make money by working from home. I also help people save money on their health and dental needs. In my other business I am a Romance Enhancer/ Educator and I educate women about their bodies and sensuality. I also help to bring the romance, spice and adventure back into relationships. I've been helping people enhance their relationships for a year and a half and I've been helping people make money and save money for a little over a year. I decided to do both of my businesses because I wanted to stay home with my daughter. I love helping people and I get to help people with both of my businesses which is the best! I haven't been in any bad businesses, I was fortunate enough to have joined companies that are great. I love all the businesses that I do.

I've tried 2 businesses and will forever be with the one I'm with now!

Right now I'm a Marketing Executive with The Freedom United Team for an International Wellness Company. All I do is market for them on and off line and help set up customer accounts!

I wouldn't say it was HORRIBLE but I definitely didn't like the whole concept of "prospecting on purpose" and doing cold calls with the other business! I hated it! The company and business wasn't really about relationshipping and it was $200 to sign up. The help that the company offers is awesome and I definitely use them now for our life insurance and whatnot, but didn't think it was the business for me.

How many businesses have tried? Too many.

What type of business are you doing now (NO ADS!!)? I am an Independent Director with Scentsy.

How long have you been doing it? Just over a year.

What made you decide on this business? I was looking for something unique that would be affordable for customers. I also wanted a company that provided great affordable tools and support to excel in business.

What was the worse business you were in? I don't want to name names, because it wouldn't be fair to other people. I just wanted a company with good affordable products without a lot of costs on my end for business expenses. Also, low cost shipping and fast shipping is important to me.

How many?
How many businesses have tried? about 10 paid and free ones

What type of business are you doing now (NO ADS!!)? I am a Shaklee Independent Distributor

How long have you been doing it? 6 months

What made you decide on this business? My family has been around Shaklee for 14 years. It was introduced to me by my husbands aunt who is very successful at Shaklee.

What was the worse business you were in? Ameriplan. The idea is good, but the money was a waste of time and no one wants discount health plans. They would rather have insurance. Plus Ameriplan continues to charge you. I had to report my cc stolen so they couldn't charge the monthly overhead fee. They make it very difficult to stop doing their business,

only one success story here
I tried many things from home but only one has actually generated great money and is fun. ..it didn't happen overnight but it has built consistently over time...i've been working as a Trainer/Benefits Specialist for 2 years and i find it very rewarding..i suppose all the other businesses I tried could've been successful if I had been passionate about what I was doing..you definetly have to believe wholeheartedly in what you're offering and in my case I truly feel great about our services and opportunity..

I have tried 5 DS businesses in the past 23 years and have been with my current company (TW) since Feb. 2003.

I have been working from home in Direct Sales since 1989.
