Hello!!! I am new here and eagerly looking to start up a home based business so I can stay at home with our one year old son and bring in some money, otherwise i will have to go out and get a job!!! I'm 25 and have been married for four years to my hubby who is currently deployed! It would be cool to have a great business idea rolling into a business by the time he gets home!

Hi Jessica! My DH returned from deployment in March. When is your DH expeced home? will you get R&R? We went to Disney World on my DH's R&R (in JULY 2004!! man was it hot but well worth it!). Anyhow, I know how you feel about having to get a JOB. Several things to consider - how much money do you need to bring in to be able to stay at home? what are you interested in? what can or are you able to do (like can you/will you go out evenings to do home parties)? what skills do you have that might transfer into a work from home situation?

I've done many party plan type things and if you're interested in that line of work, then check out www.dsa.org (its the Direct Sales Association website). They list hundreds of direct sales companies with their websites and a description of what products/services they offer.

Mary Ann gave you some good ideas. Definately search within yourself to find out something that you LOVE to do! What kind of things do you enjoy that you could possibly turn into a business of your own? What do you have experience in? There are many things to consider before jumping in the waters. Make sure that you choose something that you are excited about doing! It will be YOUR business!
