Time is very precious for busy moms, and finding time to prepare meals is not an easy task. After a busy day’s work, moms look at ways and means to lay the food on the table, with minimum time spent in the kitchen, in order to spend quality time with the family. With creativity and imagination, you could prepare a quick meal from your leftovers, or by making use of items available at home. It is advisable that moms have the essentials such as sliced meat, chicken pieces, cubed vegetables, sauces, and salad dressings handy in the refrigerator. This way, when you are too tired or when a quick meal or snack is needed, you can always turn out something, instead of running to the closest restaurant or fast food outlet and spending much more than you anticipated.

This is an ideal opportunity to use the leftovers stored in your fridge. Take caution that you don’t serve the same dish re-heated, as sometimes your family might not be too happy to eat what is left over. With a little imagination, you can re-create a new dish, with double quick time, and will be content knowing that your family enjoyed the meal. They may even compliment you for a wonderful preparation. A useful tip for all you busy moms is, “avoid mentioning that it is a leftover meal” unless asked. According to research, people do not like the idea of eating leftovers, and could be put off even before the dish is brought to the table. |
