1. What motivated you to start a blog on baking?

I got tired of dictating my recipes to the friends over the phone. So, I thought I'd rather start a blog and share the favorite recipes in a convenient, printable way.

2. How passionate are you about baking and coming up with great baking recipes?

It is part of my life now; can't imagine not doing that.

3. What was your first baked product? How was it made?

My first independent baking project was a cake for my mom's birthday. I was about eight years old. The cake was a complete disaster since I tripled a baking soda by mistake. But this failure didn't discourage me; I learned my lesson - the importance of careful measuring.

4. Going through your recipes and pictures of the final outcomes, anyone would agree that you are extremely talented. How did you acquire such high levels of skill?

Thank you, you are too kind. I am still constantly learning, trying new things and learning new techniques. It wouldn't be an absolute truth to say that I'm completely self-trained, although I've never attended any baking or cake decorating classes. I have an extensive collection of baking books by the most recognized pastry chefs from around the world, so I learn from the best. It really pays off if you are doing what you really love and not what you just have to do.

5. Your 'Winnie the Pooh' cake looks amazing. What inspired you to come up with such a great product?

Thank you. The characters of this wonderful story are very inspiring themselves, as well as the cutest little boy this cake was made for.

6. You have a plethora of great recipes which focus on a variety of baked products. Out of them, which category is your favorite and why?

This is a question I always find difficult to answer, as well as to name just one the most favorite dessert of mine.

7. What method do you use to come up with great baking recipes?

First comes an idea. It's often ignited by seasonal produce in its best freshness, beauty and taste. Then, the sleeves are rolled and an experiment begins; it's all about trial and error.
