The eating habits of kids differ at different ages, but it is important to install good habits in order ensure health in their future. Kids will eat food that is interesting and has good flavor. They will also prefer favorites like macaroni and cheese, pizza and fast food.

What kids like to eat

Kids can be a little fussy about what they like to eat and what they don't like to eat. Normally we all know that kids like to eat junk food and sweets and that they hate eating anything that is good or nutritious. There are somethings that you can do in order figure out and change your kids eating habits.

One thing you can do is try and figure out what type of good food your kid enjoys. It's not easy to figure out but one of the best things you can do is prepare the dish and see if your child would enjoy it. If not ask them why they don't like it. You will be able to get a basic idea on what your child likes and don't like and why it is so.

If you still have trouble feeding your kid then there is one thing you can do, that is to play dirty. Trick them into eating it. Make the dishes look pleasant and nice. If they life junk food like burgers and hotdogs then decorate the dishes you make at home so that they look like junk food. Make a burger out of food that is healthy. Put in a bit of flavors and sauce and your child will gobble it down in a heart beat. The best way to make your child eat vegetables (most kids hate the idea of a vegetable) is to make them drink it. Blend in the vegetables with some fruits and tell them its fruit juice. Kids love fruit juice and the taste of the vegetables will not be able to over power the taste of the fruits. It will just taste like fruit juice.

Vary the dishes you make. Decorate them in different ways; this will get your child to try it out. When they see some thing new they will be inquisitive enough to try it out. Even if it is the same dish change the decoration and display. The child will think that it is something new and try it on for size.

Give your child a lot of fruits. Kids like to eat fruits, so they will enjoy that. Make a desert and tell them that they can only have the desert if they finish the main course. They will eat their meal just to get at the desert in the end. If your child has a sweet tooth then make things like jelly, they are very good for your child's bones and are very nutritious. There are many things you can do to make your child eat well, all you need to do is move a little and see what your child likes to eat.
