Flint Michigan, internationally renowned as the birthplace of the GM automobile, has spring boarded up from historical prominence into one of the jewels of Michigan – a truly delightful city for both travelers and residents. Today, Flint is the third largest city in Michigan, due in great part to the development of the automobile industry. The first car, developed by Louis Chevrolet and built with assistance from William Durant, the founder of General Motors, was assembled in Flint. But Flint has more than just cars.
