Peggy Lou Morgan
Peggy Lou Morgan has been involved in various capacities with people who experience disabilities since early childhood having an aunt who experienced cerebral palsy. She is the adoptive mother of Billy Ray, 26 years old who experiences multiple disabilities. Frustrated with systems that didn’t work for her son, she developed a documentation system, schedules, visuals, etc. to communicate with her son and demonstrate his needs and his abilities to professionals who had difficulty seeing the real Billy Ray. Sharing this passion for creating a life that works for complex special needs children and adults enables Peggy to fulfill her longtime dream to write. She has several blogs and websites and speaks to parents groups. She is the author of Parenting Your Complex Child (AMACOM Books 2006) and Parenting An Adult with Disabilities or Special Needs (January 2009).
Peggy Lou lives with her husband, Larry, and son, Billy Ray, in Central Oregon.
