Nate Barnett Nate Barnett is the founder of BMI Baseball, a baseball instruction company devoted to providing quality baseball instruction and information. His passion for learning and athletics led to the development of a second website, Your Sport Guru.
Nate grew up in a small town north of Seattle, Washington. He excelled in baseball through high school and upon graduation received a college baseball scholarship to play at George Fox University in Oregon. Throughout his college playing career, Nate set numerous school records offensively. He also set a national record for four home runs in one game, two of which were grand slams. The Seattle Mariners organization signed Nate to a minor league baseball contract where he finished his playing career in 1999.
Nate continued his passion for baseball and began coaching high school baseball in his home town north of Seattle. He quickly moved on to work as the hitting coach for Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington.
With a Master’s Degree in Education, Nate has devoted his time and energy to teaching and coaching baseball athletes throughout the Puget Sound region. Nate has written an ebook entitled, Hitting Mechanics 101 as well as dozens of articles having to do with athletic achievement which can be found on both BMI Baseball and Your Sport Guru.
