Meagan Rodriguez was born in Corpus Christi, Texas but grew up in a small town called Kingsville, Texas. When she graduated from high school she moved to San Antonio, Texas and is now in her senior year at the University of the Incarnate Word, and going to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management and a minor in Kinesiology. Since, 2005, Meagan has been a certified personal trainer in San Antonio, where she lives with her husband.
Meagan’s personal training and fitness career began when she met a trainer that she hired to help her overcome an eating disorder. Seeing the impact a trainer can have and falling in love with fitness really sparked her interest and she studied and received her training certificate through the National Exercise and Sports Training Association.
Meagan has since then, over come her eating disorder and opened her own personal training business called Nu-U Fitness, which focuses on every individual client and their needs. No cookie cutter workouts or nutrition plans here!
Meagan is also fully involved with the community and actively working towards helping the school districts, parents, and children in San Antonio to overcome the obesity epidemic in that city in particular. She is an active council member of the Youth Obesity Prevention Partners Council and volunteers her time with Project Measure Up, which are both part of the Health Collaborative of Bexar County. Along with that she is working closely with the San Antonio Sports Foundation in creating a program for the children of San Antonio to promote life long habits of physical activity.
