Cynthea Liu - Expert in Children's Books Writing After years of working for corporate America as a technology consultant, Cynthea Liu left the field to do the really fun stuff--writing for children. She obtained a literary agent within her first year as a writer and sold two novels soon after at auction to Penguin, proving that anyone, no matter how inexperienced, can write for children if one has the drive to learn. Her teen book for Puffin's S.A.S.S. series THE GREAT CALL OF CHINA will be released in February, 2009. Her second book, a middle-grade novel, PARIS PAN TAKES THE DARE will be in stores in June, 2009, Her third book will be out in 2011. And her nonfiction book WRITING FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS: A CRASH COURSE is available now.
Like so many "Bizy" moms, Cynthea is an exceptional multi-tasker. When she isn't writing, she's spoon-feeding her baby, making frequent trips to Target for diapers, and helping aspiring writers through her web site WritingforChildrenandTeens.com. Cynthea is also the founder of AuthorsNow!, a resource for librarians, teachers, reviewers, and booksellers to find out about the industry's hottest debut children's book authors.
Cynthea lives in Chicago and is represented by the Andrea Brown Literary Agency. She is professionally managed by her pet rabbit Snoop.
