    English: 4 credits
    Mathematics: 2 credits
    Science: 2 credits
    Social Studies/History: 2.5 credits
    CTE (Computer Technology) or Fine Arts: 1 credit

    There is one additional opportunity for Phoenix area homeschoolers to get standardized test scores to qualify for fall membership in Eta Sigma Alpha, the homeschool honor society. Students need to be in 7th-12th grades and score in the 90th percentile or higher on a standardized test (Iowa, Stanford, CAT or specified scores on college entrance tests).

Covenant Home School Resource Center (CHSRC) in Phoenix offers the Iowa test in March and June annually.

    On Apri 6,2011, SB 1152 was signed by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer. Although no new law was created, important distinctions were made in the definition of homeschooling. First, the word "homeschool" is used instead of previous variations in usage: home school, home-school or instruction at home. Secondly, the definition now specifies that homeschooling consists of non-public forms of education (not funded by the local public schools or other government agencies).
